I am a cut paper artist. I trained graduated in textiles and worked freelance for over 20 years designing everything from rugs to wrapping paper and making embroideries and banners. From 2006 I started to work wholly with paper. At first I just made single sheet paper cuts but as time has gone on my work has developed to the layered collages.
Practical, hands-on workshops, KS1 and 2. Drawing, painting, printing, clay, textiles, murals, bookmaking, drama, dance. Fully qualified and experienced primary teacher and Arts adviser.
I make art made from recycled carrier bags. Artworks can be individual or collectively produced, site specific, two dimensional, sculptures, installation, issues based, in or outdoor, temporary, permanent, minute or massive. Ultimately the medium is a container for expression and ideas.

Since qualifying as a teacher in 1990, I have led artist projects in schools, galleries and community venues. Projects have included mural painting, mosaic, batik, mixed media and ceramics. I enjoy combined arts projects collaborating with storytellers, musicians, dancers and tile makers. Themes have included celebration, art history, portraiture and cultural identity.
