Artist Information : Anthony Lysycia
Category : Sculpture
Preferred age groups : All ages
Maximum group size : 30
Workshop Proposals : Carving both in stone and wood, creating small and large-scale sculptures with students.

For primary age, Anthony prefers to work with stone, as it is softer and easier to carve, meaning blunter tools can be used.

Anthony provides all the necessary tools and safety goggles for the sculpture workshops. Working mainly outside, with up to 10-12 pupils at a time, teaching traditional hand carving techniques in oak or limestone/sandstone.
The finished sculptures can be displayed in a variety of ways depending on the piece/location. If time allows, Anthony carries out this part of the project.
The finished sculptures can last up to 500 years plus!

School feedback:
“Well coordinated, Anthony was great at liaising with myself and the centre he was working at. The experience for the group of pupils was excellent and Anthony rose to the challenges they sometimes presented. The final outcome was excellent and transported with help to the library. Good value for money” – Highgate Library

“It went really well; the children all had a unique experience and the stone carvings are beautiful! Anthony was really friendly and great with the children!” – Soho Parish Primary School
