Intaglio/dry-point workshops. Using our portable intaglio etching press, children create a dry-point plate and a print from it. Initially, using tools to scratch their design into a thin sheet metal plate, the plates are then 'inked up' and printed in one or more colours, plates can be added to and changed during the session.
Ideal for KS2 upwards.
Etching and/or collograph workshop: Basic and more advanced etching techniques will be taught and the with final prints printed on the portable etching press. Most themes can be encompassed. Due to some of the materials used in etching this workshop is most suitable for smaller groups from KS3 upwards.
Collograph workshops: Collograph is a form of intaglio printing where, rather than etching into the plate, the plate is built up using a variety of materials. Children can experiment with a variety of texture, colour and line - again plates are printed on an intaglio press.
