Workshop Proposals
Recycled sculptures and installations. Human figures, animals, monsters, cardboard cities and shadow sculptures. Workshops tailored to suit a variety of age groups and themes.
Education / Qualifications
2003 - MA Scenography, Central St Martins.
1997 - BA (Hons) Fine Art (2:1), De Montfort University.
2000 - City & Guilds 7307 Stage 1, Teaching Art and Design in Adult Education, Loughborough University.
Michelle undertakes commissions in public spaces such as parks and shopping malls. Recent exhibitions and commissions have included the AGAIN upcycling exhibition in Kuwait and the Recycled Sculpture Show at the London Wetland Centre.
Work Experience
Freelance sculptor and artist educator since 1998.
Examples of recent workshops and residencies:
Orleans House Gallery, Twickenham - regular schools out-reach, after school clubs and family sessions over six years.
Whitefield Schools, Walthamstow - several 3 to 5-day projects with SEN students
Harris Academy Coleraine Park, Tottenham - making sculptures and installations inspired by artists such as Van Gogh and Kandinsky.
Pontardawe School, Lead Creative Schools Scheme, Wales. Collaborating with an actor to develop literacy through the story of The Iron Woman.
