Workshop Proposals : Painting - Mural workshops - proposal: Student catered large scale mural projects using MDF board (internal) or WBP board (external). Workshops inspired by curriculum themes: self portrait & identity, multicultural heritage, world art history and the environment.
Multi Media - Mosaic workshops - proposal: Using recycled materials such as bathroom/kitchen tiles to create dynamic, inventive and attractive mosaics for inside and outside school environment. The theme of the mosaics would be based on themes used in current school project work, for example, inspired by decorative arts and artists such as Spanish architect Antoni.
Batik Workshops - Creating batiks sourced from student's work as well as cultural pattern inspirations such as, Celtic knot work, rangoli & mendhi designs. Using hot wax resist techniques - small groups for this part of the process. Using craft dyes and fabric paint. Embellish with threads, sequins, beads and metallic fabric paints. The pupils will learn how to create a batik textile piece from design ideas to finished piece for display.

Work Experience : Since qualifying as a teacher in 1990, I have led art projects in schools, galleries and community venues. Projects have included mural painting, mosaic, batik, mixed media and ceramics. I enjoy combined arts projects collaborating with storytellers, musicians, dancers and tile makers. Themes have included celebration, art history, portraiture and cultural identity.
